2013 Browning Maxus Stalker 28" 3" 12ga

Impulse buy when I was in a big-box store (Cabella's or Bass Pro?) which was closing and had clearance sales. I wanted a semi-auto 12ga.

Suffered from the Dura-Touch coating problem which deteriorated into a sticky mess. Sent it in and they replaced the stock and forearm. Replacements feel kind cheap. I replaced the stock and forearm with a used Maxus gen 1 walnut set I got from eBay. The Inflex gen 1 recoil pad from my composite stock did not fit the wood stock. I learned Browning made two sizes of the Inflex gen 1: BST14104AA for composite stocks and BST14136AA for wood stocks. I reached out to Browning, but they nor anyone else had any of the latter in stock anymore. I asked if an Inflex II pad would fit, but they told me it would not. I later found out this was wrong. The gen 1 wood stocks have the same footprint as Maxus II, and thus Inflex II fit perfectly. I bought an Inflex II pad (0.75" BST81002AA) to prove this along with 1/4" and 1/2" spacers (BST82207AA, BST82208AA). Detailed here (archive).

Before I learned all this, I purchased a LimbSaver 10001 which almost perfectly matches the footprint. However, the pad could not accommodate the threaded screw inserts which protrude from the stock, so I cut the nubs off a 1/4" spacer BST82207AA and placed it between the two as a workaround.

I also purchased the appropriate stock tube support U1117663AJ, as the set came with what looked like a homemade version that did not fit well.

Browning mistakenly sent me a free Inflex gen 1 BST14104AA for composite stocks when I asked for a BST14136AA for wood stocks.
